My son, has a math & science mind, or so I've been told by his teachers. He's also very kind, thoughtful, and caring. I could see him as a doctor or some sort of engineer.
My daughter has already said and has shown a great interest in fashion design. However, I think she'd make a brilliant lawyer because she has never backed down from an argument!!

If it was up to me they would be doctors, lawyers, or firefighters. :-)
BUT, I will let them choose their own profession. DS#1 was a Marine and now unloads trucks. I am happy if he is happy. He also plans on attending a jr. college.
DS#2 is an awesome welder, but he is still in high school. He has thought about attending a trade school after graduation and getting more training in welding. He takes agricultural classes in high school and has already learned this trade. His ag teacher must think he is good because he makes him work on projects for individuals and gets paid for them already. :-)
DS#3 will hopefully go to college and be the doctor or lawyer. :-) He likes to be involved in school. He is a member of the Beta club, student council, and UIL. He is also involved in athletics. He is a pretty smart kid. I just hope he continues to keep that grade point average up so he can get some great scholarships! He has said he would like to attend the University of Texas and wants to know if I would support him in that. Ummm, of course!! I know he is only in 8th grade, but I think he has a great head on his shoulder and has a plan. I just hope he follows through with it.~*Michelle*~

Well, on one hand I'd like to have a doctor (to help us for when we get sick and old), a dentist (so no more outrageous costs but discounted rates and dentures if we need them later), and a mechanic so we can save money on fixing our beater cars!
In reality, it doesn't matter what job/career they pick.........I want them to be able to support themselves, be successful in it, but most importantly extremely happy with it.

I'd love for oldest DS to be an artist. He loves drawing things though he's very repetitive with it (he's the disabled DS).
What do I want DS #2 to do? I want him to either be a hockey goalie (kid you not), a computer software creator (he's awesome with computers), or a pediatrician. He's such a sweetheart and is always wanting what's best for others.

My oldest dd is a dental hygenist. DD #2 is going to CMU to become a spanish teacher and she is very happy. DD #3 is getting set to start her criminal justice courses to eventually become a police officer. i am a little nervous about dd#3 because of the way our country is as far as crime rates. I could see her as a ND or a holistic vet instead. But I just want her to be happy! Great topic!

What a thought provoking question!!
I always thought DD 15 would be an English professor or psychologist and put her honors grades to good academic use but she's heading towards musical theater now. She's been working in a professional theater the last 2 years so I'm guessing there's no turning back now. I'm very happy and proud of her but afraid for her future both financially and professionally.
DD12...I always thought she'd either be an artist, a vet, a kindergarten or special education teacher (she is so wonderful with little kids and special needs kids) or a wildlife/animal photographer but she too wants to go into the performance field...she wants to be a professional concert cellist and music teacher and live on a sprawling farm in rural PA or VA. (this way she can have all her animals and still pursue her music)
DS10 wow..he's the kicker. He's extremely bright, loves random facts and numbers and very persuasive but over emotional so I thought he'd be great as a stock broker, a mathematician , a lawyer, a computer programmer or game creator, a CPA or a card shark. In fact, he likes all those jobs...he's gonna be hard pressed to choose just one career. The past 3 years he's been enamored with dance, especially tap, so he's now informed me that he wants to be the world's first tap dancing astrophysicist. Lord help me with this one!!!!

DD # 1 (12) wants to be a chef and attend culinary school. ( she cooks every day. We always have fresh baked stuff made by her.)Her other interests are fashion designer or lawyer.
DD # 2 (6) said the other day that when she grows up she is going to be a nurse just like mommy. Then she thought for a minute and said " well actually no, I would rather be a doctor like daddy". She calls it a " crack open doctor" "You just crack the belly open and pull out the baby" As you can see she doesn't quite have the concept of childbirth down. ha ha.
My husband thinks that being a doctor would be a better fit for her since she definitely doesn't like to take orders from anyone!
DS (3) says that he is either going to be a super hero, fireman or Backyardigans.

I have 3 children (only one lives with me full time).
I would like a doctor, a lawyer, and a mechanic.
That way all my bases are covered.

DH wanted DD to become a lawyer or doctor. I never put much thought into what I wanted her to be other than the best that she could in whatever she chooses.
Right now I think it is pretty darn cool that she is an on air personality (dj) with one of the our areas popular radio stations and people who know us but don't connect her on air name with her actual name are like....Whoa....that is _____? She is really good. That kind of tickles a parent pink. We/she had a rough time in high school, other than field hockey and a bit of judicious rough justice on some bullys who were picking on kids who just wouldn't fight back...she hated school. She goes to college and loves it and hit her stride.
As long as she is happy....I am happy.
