What would you price these at?
Having a yard sale and no idea how to price some things. My daughter has tons of little toys and nick nacks like mcdonalds toys she wants to get rid of. I"m figuring $.25 each or 5 for $1.
I have TONS of hardcover books (novels). I was thinking $2/each or 3 for $5.
Paperback $.50 or 5 for $2.
Frames $1 or $2 depending on type and size
Wrought Iron vanity chair $20 (but willing to go to $15)
Vacuum bought for $60, used twice. No IDEA what to ask for..
5 drawer plastic storage unit $7
Large decorative pillows $4 each or both for $6
board games

I buy paperbacks at the thrift store 5/1.00 and hard covers are 1.00. Depending on the Vac, I'd start at 20.00. I think I paid 2.00 each for the decor pillows I bought at a yard sale. ONLY because they were clean and fresh looking.
Depends on how badly you want to get rid of stuff!Stinkbug

You'll probably get some crazy buyers at the start and end of the day who want everything cheap. You can start things off at those prices, and if people don't seem interested, lower them about halfway through.
If you price things too cheap, it's not worth sitting there all day just to make $50.Scott Virtes

I always price things a little higher than I am willing to sell it. For example, if I want to get $5 for an item, I'll price it at $7. That way, someone can easily haggle me down to $5 and both of us are happy!

Just remember you can always come down in price but you can't go up in price.

Little toys I usually bag up in large ziplock bags and sale a bag full for a $1.00. Books usually 25 cents for soft cover and $1.00 each for hardcover. We are having a sale this Saturday too if it doesn't rain. I haven't had one at all this year. Started to a few weeks ago and my health and the weather didn't cooperate. My kids are going to take care of the sale for me. They need gas money for college so its their baby. I have been helping with pricing.
Good luck with your sale.

As Texasgirl says, you can always go down in price but you can't go up. I try to think about what I would be willing to pay for something at a yard sale. But, you sound pretty much on the mark as to what prices I would be willing to pay, if that helps.

I'd say your prices are reasonable for a yard sale...but I think it depends on your area. Here some 2nd hand items are more costly than I think they should be.

If you don't want to haul it away, put cheap prices on the stuff.
