Default I just cant believe this...

Dh was leaving for work this morning and closes the garage door and guess what we sees?

GRAFFITI... yep and it pisses me off... never had this problem before.... low and behold I look at our neighbors garage and they too have graffiti on theirs and our friend who own the local corner store also has it and the house a little ways down has it as well.

Just when things start looking up money wise, now I have to go out and buy anti-graffiti paint so this doesn't happen again and it really angers me. I could use regular paint but what if they keep coming back? If I call the insurance company, I will have to pay a $500 deductible so NOPE not worth it.

I guess DH is going to have to put a camera out back since we have a security one, then we can catch them in the act and call the police.

I would call the police so at least it would be documented!

I agree with freebs, definitely call the police just to have a report made. Usually if it's affected a few people in the same neighborhood something like that might end up on your local news and you may have help from the public catching the individuals who caused the damage. I'm sorry it happened to you and your neighbors. Hopefully whoever did it will get caught.

I'm sorry you have this to deal with now. DH and I were discussing just yesterday how sad it is that kids just don't have the respect for other's property that we had growing up. I know if I had gotten caught doing anything like that, my parents would of busted my butt so fast.

If you all call the police they might have an undercover car patrol to catch the creep.

That would make me so mad! What is wrong with people that they can't respect those around them?

    :gah:

Ooh I'd be livid. Call the police so that it is at least documented.

How does anti-graffiti paint work? If they strike again, will they know immediately that their destruction isn't working? If so, I'd be worried that they'd try it somewhere else on your property.

Sorry you're dealing with this, of all things.

I would be furious! I just don't get the whole disrespect that people have nowadays. Why do they have to tag everything? They might appreciate their art ability, but we don't! I'm sorry you woke up to this. Don't you wish you could catch them and make them scrub it off on the hottest day of the year!!!!

    I would call the police.
It stinks that they think its fun to go around and damage people's property.
I have to wonder how they would feel if it was done to their homes.

Ugh, that sucks. The camera is a good idea. DH used to consider cameras when we had:

Kids shoot paint balls into our pool and make it multi-colored.
Kids put our hose ON and put it into our dryer vent while we were on vacation, so that the vent hose burst, water was in the basement, and the water BILL was sky freakin' high.
Kids came over one night and pulled up a BUNCH of my flowers (perenials) leaving them lay to die.
Busted off our outside hose-faucet to the tune of $150.

I hear ya. Neighborhood kids/people can be a pain. And costly.

Definitely contact the police. This is a crime against the community and word needs to get out.
