What's up Friday 07/11/08?

My friend is supposed to be coming over later today, so I did a little bit of housecleaning. I also made some lemonade with fresh lemons that I got from the in-laws. I have a huge watermelon too, so I put some in the blender and froze it to use as ice cubes in the lemonade. If you've never had watermelon lemonade, you should try it!

I'm not sure what we're up to tonight. We were going to go to the county fair, but I just don't feel comfortable going somewhere where it's so easy to spend money, since we need all the money we can get right now! We only have a few dollars to last us until next friday, so I'm trying to make it count. That means no driving the van!

So what's up with everyone today? Any exciting plans?

Nothing exciting.
Grocery shopping,need to do some yard work but this has to wait till this evening.
Watermelon lemonade sounds really good.

I went to the grocery store and bank earlier. Staying home tonight with the hubby and youngin'. We'll probably spend some time outside getting into something or going for a bike ride when the sun is going down. Just a normal relaxing evening listening to the junebugs lol.

I did my FLYlady chores in the kitchen, then ran about 2 miles (I think), showered, put some lasagne in the oven.

I was staying home today, but the allergist called and said they were ready to start DS#3's allergy shots. I took DS#1 to work, stopped by the clinic for DS#3, and then had to head to the clinic's business office. Our insurance carrier has not been paying the bills submitted by the clinic. I called the insurance provider and they said they only received one claim and it was paid. So, the clinic is resubmitting all the claims as adviced by the insurance so they will be paid. UGH!! Sometimes this stuff frustrates me!! I hope it is all cleared up now. It sure wasn't what I planned on doing today.

Went to parents to visit and son weeded the hill for his grandparents. Did some laundry. Since we ate at my parents making dh breakfast for supper which he loves anyway.
Rest of tonight is all mine.
Tomorrow is a different story.

Well my friend just left. We had a pretty fun time. She was hungry so I heated up some leftover chicken parmesan for us instead of going out to eat. Then we went to 7-11 for free slurpees and they were tiny!!! Since we were in the area of a cheap produce market, I got a few items and then we came home and DS took a nap and we just hung out and caught up with each other's lives. DH should be home soon, and I'm not sure what we're doing tonight. BIL wants to go out to dinner to celebrate his birthday and his gf's birthday, but I told DH we just can't afford to eat out. We might just stay home and watch a movie or something.

Doin' housework... Just made about 5 dozen peanut butter cookies (some for mom and dad, some for us, some for company on Sunday, and some for Dh to take to work Monday). Whew! THAT was a work out!

Got the kitchen cleaned up after all that...now have laundry going. Still need to put away clean clothes, make bed, vacuum, then make supper...

Worked all day-boring I know. Drove Raechel back and forth from her volunteering job at the hospital.

I came home, we had pizza for dinner-cheap and quick. I vacuumed 2 rooms, then changed my clothes for VBS. It was the last night-long week. We did get to take the kids out for volleyball tonight, though. That was alot of fun.

Tomorrow is yard sale day...

We are home from vacation!! We went to California to visit my son and DIL and I had a wonderful surprise. Our kids and DH arranged a trip for us all to Maui! I thought something was up when DH insisted he would take the pets to the boarders, that is always my job!!!IWe have been to Oahu , but this was a first .Had a great time, now trying to get unpacked and organized.Sure missed you all!!

Wow that is awesome! Glad you had a good time. I've never been to Hawaii, so jealous!!
