What would happen if I drank a glass of spinach or kale juice?
Would there be any side effects?

Raw veggie juice is VERY good for you, if you can drink it....it tastes so much better with carrots, and some fruit, like apples. When I had cancer, my DH made carrot juice for me every night. He usually added some apples/oranges/grapes. Sometimes, he added kale or other greens.
Bought my new oven 1/08 and loving it!

I know a lady who drinks veggie juice every morning. She always mixed carrots in with her greens.
I would think that you might have a slight tummy ache at first, but then your body will get used to it.
Let us know how it tastes!

I think you'd be fine, just make sure you wear a very loose fitting top just in case of muskle (as Popeye would say) expansion.:popeye:

I don't know about you, but if it were kale, I'd probably puke all over the place. That stuff tastes nasty raw. I do like raw spinach, so maybe that wouldn't turn my stomach like kale.

I'm thinking it would elicit a gag reflex, nausea, vomiting and me having to clean the floor. Definitely mix it with something to make it more palatable. Perhaps a blend of one with some celery juice and pear juice.

I think you'ld pee green for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

It wouldn't hurt you if you can get it down. I personally prefer to eat my spinach.

You'd be on your way to a very healthful life.
But Kale is bitter so you need to add some sweet stuff to it - like carrots.
You are using a juicer? and not a blender right?
Are you asking if you do it once? Nothing will happen.
If you are asking if you do it regularly - you'll see a marked improvement in your health - provided you're not doing harmful things like smoking.
When people juice thier vegies - Kale is the staple of choice for the bulk of it because it's cheap and can be grown well into a cold autumn.
Cheers

If you can get a hold of some pineapple I would add it to the kale juice. Pineapple is very sweet and strong tasting so it can usually overpower something as icky tasting as raw kale. But other than that, it'll be good for you.
