    Smile Sunny Sunday

Hi everyone....just wanted to see what everyone has been up to today? Its almost dinner time and thought I'd post to see how y'all are doing

Today I have scrubbed my shower closet , cleaned the bathroom, washed 3 loads of laundry and hung it on the line. Watched a dvd I rented last night, ran out to pick up a few basic grocery items and have had some time out in the yard in the sun

All I have left to do is bring in the laundry when ready, fluff it in dryer, fold and put away....think about dinner and then go through a pile of clothes for donation.

Yep...I'm really enjoying my Sunny Sunday

DH and I had to go to calling hours for the mother of one of our good friends-we didn't even realize his mom had passed away until this morning when I for some reason glanced at the Obits in the paper. I told DH-IN AND OUT..no stopping to talk to old pals from high school (mostly because he hears nothing from these guys since the day we got married, but also because I was sitting on my porch till 5:19am today with my next door neighbor laughing and having a grand time talking about his daughter who's turning 4 today, and what my kids were like when they were small) and I'm exhausted!..bad part of the calling hours were that one old pal of DH's and his stuck up biotch of a wife beelined us while we were in line to pay our respects and proceeded to clue us in on how 'WELL" they are doing..while his wife stood there, giving me the third degree on why I'm not working right now (severe nerve damage in my left arm, shoulder and leg from a fall I had a few years back and the doctor won't release me to work-long story, different post some other time)..when I told her what my kids were doing now, she had the nerve to tell me that If I can't work, why don't I volunteer at churches or something..HELLO?? IF I'M ALLOWED TO VOLUNTEER I'D CERTAINLY BE BACK AT WORK EARNING MONEY..DUH...anyway..after our adventure at the funeral home, we buzzed through Sam's Club and picked up a pork loin(had it sliced in one inch chops for the stockpile), and a package of 20 chicken/asiago/spinach sausages (which I will take out of the casings..lol). Now we are home, I'm exhausted but too stupid to go lay down..it's pouring, it's muggy and I'm looking at my Sylvia Brown book wondering if I'm too tired to read it..lol

I've been busy today, but not too busy. I did some straightening up and cleaning this morning, went to the grocery store this afternoon, put a few things out on Freecycle, and just made a nice fruit salad and a sesame chicken pasta salad for my lunches for the next couple of days.

My biggest money challenge during the week is making my lunches for work and not going to Subway which I LOVE. DH is good to help make lunches and dinners since he is not working right now (well, not in the traditional sense....he has his own computer business on the side that he works on every day)...but it doesn't bring in a "regular" income.

Anyway, I'm kind of dreading work next week....my supervisor will be gone and I will have her work to do plus mine. Tomorrow is a 1 1/2 day orientation day that I will be hosting for all new hires (I work in HR) and I'm just not feeling that confident right now. Just before the weekend I had an employee come into my office as mad as a hornet and there was not much I could do about it because of company policies. He brought his wife and they were both rude to me. I guess that's all a part of the job somtimes, but it usually knocks my confidence down when that happens. I am way too sensitive sometimes...I need to work on my attitude today for sure and just be thankful I HAVE a job. I will work on my gratitudes for today...

Today I have been puttering around the house. Sat out in the yard for awhile because the weather is just beautiful today. Am cooking a big dinner because tomorrow is my prep day before surgery and I cant eat anything but jello and pudding tomorrow. Trying to get the house in order as my surgery is Tuesday

Oops! I meant to respond to everyone...

Libby, it sounds like after all your hard work today, you need some "you" time. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Chettasmom, sorry to hear what happened at the viewing today. It seems like we all have those people in our lives who would like to ruin our day if we let them. Just ignore that woman and know that her comments were ignorant and stuid....HUGS.

Jamie, good luck with your surgery next week!

OK, I'm off to get a new attitude! LOL

Dh and I went to Mass... Home now and madly cleaning the house before company arrives...last minute stuff...

Have a big pot of potato soup in the crock...frugal and warming (it's been so cold here this summer...I wore my jacket to Church!).

We're all going to play some Wii games and chat and eat...

The only thing that I have accomplished today would be some laundry. Other than that, we have been watching some movies and enjoying the outdoors. We went swimming for a while. I have had dinner cooking in the crockpot, so there was no need to stop and cook - just enjoy the day. DS#1 went to work and DS#2 went to visit his girlfriend and her family, so it is just DH, DS#3, and I sitting home today.

I hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday!

We went to church, came home, swam, and rested. I finished the laundry and have a pile sorted to take to the cleaners tomorrow.Everthing is unpacked and put away. Back to the regular routine for the week, but oh!!! aren't getaways nice? I feel energized.I still think some of the most interesting people are right here at the Village. It is so good to be home. Hope you all had a great day!!

It's been a weird Sunday for me. DH wasn't feeling well when I got up at 7 to get my S.S. lesson ready for the kids today. He said he had been up 4 times last night. So, I went to S.S. and church alone. About a third of the congregation was out due to sickness in their families and it was kind of bare today.

I came home and we went to ds's house to see the kids. Their mother (grrrrr) came and picked them up to take back to TN. Long story, another post. After that, my dh and I stopped at the Piggly Wiggly and got some ribs to eat because neither one of us had eaten anything at all and it was after 4:00 p.m.! We came home and piddled in the yard a little bit. The puppies came out from their lair under the cattle trailer. We introduced them to their first solid foods. Too funny! That's been it for the day but I'm worn out due to the emotional rollercoaster ride.
