What do you call 'junk voice mail'?
I keep getting random calls on my cell - and it's like SPAM (I don't have a land line for this VERY reason!)
It appears to be from a number that I can not call back or track.
The automated call is trying to sell me something.
Today's call was for a mortgage. Do they EVEN know who they're calling !!!
So, I am looking for a clever name to call this junk on my voice mail.
PHAM? as in phone spam perhaps?

It could be called Pham I guess.

I don't have my cell voice mail activated so have never gotten these calls.
Note to myself: Put my cell on the "Do not call" list as well. Thanks for the reminder!

If the number shows up on your cellphone, you can block it so it doesn't go through. You can also try googling the # to see who is calling your cellphone. It doesn't work if the number is unlisted. If it's a restricted # or says "Unavailable," most likely it's "junk mail"

Pham sounds like a good name. We turned off texting on our phones because we got junk text messages. GRRRR

Call them up, get their name, their company name, then report them after you're on the do not call list... they'll fine them!

I say give that lady a call back and tell her to stop calling you, if she doesnt, and you report her, she will be slapped with a fine.
I too am on a do not call list, so far it's working but I probably just jinxed myself

What do you call 'junk voice mail'?
I call them nothing I can repeat here on the boards, I'm on a do not call list, and everything was fine till our cable changed to Comcast, then it started, call after call, luckily it was the second line, used only for long distance phone calls. I just shut the ringer off, on they can call till their hearts content.

I've been getting weird calls on my cell phone lately too - when it shows the missed call number it is not a phone number but a big long line of numbers. Yesterday I answered it and it was a recording telling me to press 1 to save money on "my account" so I hung up. I don't even know who to contact to get that to stop, maybe I'll figure out how to block those calls...

Be careful of any of the calls that tell you to press "1" Usually, when you press it it'll sign you up for some kind of service and bill it to your cell phone bill. It's never happened to me, but I found out about it after googling one of the numbers that called me.
