    Default I knew I was weird before, but . . .

I am really considering taking a bath using Dawn dishwashing detergent. I was just doing up some dishes and had to get out another bottle. The smell is heavenly - jasmine and lavendar. My skin isn't sensitive and I don't plan on washing my hair with it, so I think I might just do it!!!!! I think this officially makes me a weirdo!

awww...you're not weird. When I first met dh he would use dawn to wash his hair if his family ran out of shampoo...& it actually worked better. You can use dishsoap to substitute for laundry soap as well...I've tried it & had great results

oh.. that DOES sound wonderful. That was wonderful! not weird! lol

We used to use dish detergent in the bath for the children when they wanted a bubble bath.
Just a little. and avoid the 'private' area. The soap is not so gentle.

Oh.. btw... I wouldn't recommend using dishsoap and a Regina Home Spa. Don't ask me how I know .. just be thankful we found the children in the bathroom.

I use liquid dish soap in my hand soap dispensers, along with bubble bath, body wash, any samples I may have, that I don't like. I had a grlfriend that used a little Dawn in her bath, because she said it didn't leave a bath ring..... why not, if you like it--go for it!

Dish soap always made bubbles in my bath growing up.... I was allergic to Mr Bubbles in the pink box.

Dawn was my son's favorite bubble bath so I don't think it's weird at all. I've not smelled that scent but it does sound wonderful.

My 72 yo dad loves a bubble bath. We buy him bubble bath for Christmas each year, but "dish soap's just fine". Maybe he'll get a bottle from my stockpile ~ $0.25 stocking stuffer!

Ivory dish soap worked well for my Mom when we took a bath. It was supposed to be mild for your hands and it was not as watered down as some dish soaps so a little went a long way. That's the only kind of dish soap my Mom would use because it was so concentrated.

I am a sucker for a good smelling bubble bath. I've got a huge basket in my bathroom of fun stuff. Most were gifts.

    Take me away, Calgon. heh

Years ago my ex mother in law used this hand soap for a bubble bath or just a shower. She bought it in bulk. It was like the best smelling stuff....ever. The color was orange and I can't think of the brand..darn! This thread reminded me of it.
