Time for me to vent!
First, I need to say "ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Okay, now that that's done. Let me give you a back story. Back when I was working, I got a speeding ticket. I got my little thingy in the mail, I believe with traffic school fees, I had to pay around $200. That's a big chunk of change, but I had just gotten a second job, and my first paycheck just about covered it.
Well, when we were on our little trip up to Sacramento, DH got pulled over. He ended up getting a ticket. Then, on Monday, he "accidentally" ran a red light and got caught by one of the very few red light cameras in the area. What luck. Well, he got his red light ticket first, and it was more than double my speeding ticket! Today he got the speeding ticket, and it's over $300. WHERE THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO COME UP WITH THIS MONEY?!! We have to move soon so I have been scrimping and saving up so we can pay the deposit. Now I have to find the money for these! I wish my DH would pay more attention to what he's doing. This really takes the cake.
I needed to let that out.

That really stinks! I don't think fees are that high here, but it has been about 10 years since I got my one and only speeding ticket (i wasn't even speeding...won't explain, becuase that will turn into a huge rant
). I think it was $90 then, and that included traffic school and probation.
Hopefully, you can find the money to pay for it. Don't let them go or it'll get REALLY expensive!

For the speeding ticket can he take defensive driving?
Ds #1 took defensive driving over the internet to get out of 2 speeding tickets.

Yeah, welcome to Orange County...
It is actually more expensive to take traffic school, but he needs to do it, otherwise our insurance will go up. So either way we'll pay for it eventually.
