Thank goodness I was blessed with a sense of humor!
Ya know...normally, I try to see the funny or good in everything. Sometimes, when tragedy strikes and I'm laughing at something that I know one day I'll be able to look back on and actually find funny... does anyone know that feeling? Like you shouldn't be laughing when it happens, but if you don't laugh you'll lose it?
Well, DH broke a leaf spring shackle on his truck. So he decided he was going to fix it himself. Great...saves us moola. So, he ordered the part, it came in on Tuesday and when he got home this afternoon, he decided to fix it along with the nieghbor next door. So they pull out the new part, and it is the wrong part. Ugh. I seriously hope the dealership will exchange it for the right part, or they will have a loony woman in there screaming at them across the counter!
So, ok, not the funny part. They start taking off the old part anyways, becuase we can't drive it anyways, so get a head start on it until the right part comes in. So, they can't get the bolts out, so they ended up getting a propane torch to heat the bolts.
I'm out in the backyard, checking on my garden and playing catch with the kids and I hear "Honey...get the fire extinguisher!"
Yep, somehow, they started the bedliner of the truck on fire.
I could not stop laughing. The neighbors wife and I just stood there in histerics watching them. Seriously, if I couldn't laugh at some of the really dumb things he pulls, our marriage would not have survived this long.

Oh - dear - yeah I'd be laughing too, if it weren't my truck and I didn't start the fire...
Hope he's able to laugh it off too though! If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

This honestly sounds like something my husband would of done. Its just the kind of luck he seems to have. I too would of found myself laughing. I'm glad it turned out ok and nobody got hurt.
