Default Super (productive I hope) Saturday 7/19

Well I'm hopeing for another really productive day. It feels good to finally be getting to move on some of these "home projects" instead of just work ones. I shipped my oldest DS and my DH off well before the crack of dawn this morning to travel to the Bluegrass soccer tournament in Lexington. DS's team has an excellent chance of taking first and part of me is kind of sad about not going. The other part says "Your life is run by soccer tournaments. It's not going to hurt to miss this one." So I'm going to try and just gets tons done this weekend while chatting back and forth with you all. Our productive "seasons" come and go quickly here so I need to get as much done as I can in the next couple of months before the holidays get close.

    So far today:
    ~ I've prepped a quilt for repair
~ done a load of laundry
~ made a double batch of blueberry muffins
    ~ resanded the 4 walls/ceiling
    ~ straightened the bedroom
    ~ did the dishes
    and drank

    I still plan on:
~ cleaning up the spackle dust mess
~ putting on the next coat of spackle
    ~ fixing the blanket
    ~ clean the master bath
    ~ clean the kitchen
~ gather some of the yarsale stuff together and sort it
~ prep some of the produce from the family garden

Oh and I'm kid sitting this afternoon. (This will actually help keep DS#2 busy while I'm busy.)

If things go well I'm sure the list will grow. If I get all that done though I'll be :danceing: A few more really productive days over the next few weeks and the living room and hallway should be finished except for the fun decorative stuff like ordering carpet.

What's everybody else up too??? I'm sure some of you have lots on your plates too. As for those taking it easy today, take a half hour off for me too ok I'm gonna need it.

I've been up since 4:00 AM...:insomnia:, so I think a nap is in my future :crystalball:

But otherwise, so far today I've done a load of wash and made pancakes for the kids

Am hoping for a really productive day even though it's pretty hot here today.

It is around 8:15 here and the only thing I have done so far is had a cup of coffee, fed my cats and taken a shower.

We have to head to the next city over to attend a parents meeting for DS's football team. While there we will stop by my dad's house. Then we need to go put the deposit down for DS's birthday party. He is turning 13 in two weeks. He and his buddies want to do a paintball party. We have never done paintball, but all of his friends have. It should be a bit painful, but fun.

There is also a flea market type thing in that town I want to go to.

DH and the kids have three yards to cut, plus ours.

I need to get my dog in the pool for her hydrotherapy.

My house is a mess and I plan to clean up some and get things ready to paint over the next couple of weeks.

The kitchen faucet broke three days ago. We bought the new one last night. Now DH just has to install it today.

A visit to WM and Sam's for some groceries is on the schedule, as well.

Not a whole lot to do here, waiting until Tues to move... So, I guess dd and I will go to the library today, then hang out and read some books. I have to run to the grocery for a few things for us to eat (everything all packed).

We had friends stay over and are going to go play tennis and the guys will golf. This afternoon the grandkids are coming over to work on an old rowboat we have and to take it out on the pond to fish.(Hopefully).Have a great day all!

~Hope Darcee has a great party! And make sure you take care of yourself today too!

Today I planned to sew but you know how plans go. The kids roped me into playing with them and before I knew it the morning was gone. I did manage to water my garden and wash, hang and take down the sheets(so hot they dried in a half hour this morning!). Hopefully I'll get to sewing this afternoon. I have a long list of things I should be doing but I'm just gonna do fun stuff today and have a mini staycation. Stay cool everyone!~

Lots of housework to be done today. I've plans on fitting a nap in this afternoon, then go look for fabric to make some aprons.

Heather--- Hope your daughter's party goes great!!!!

lwlynch--- Napping sounds like a great plan after getting so much done.

Well I've gotten to everything on the list but the blanket and the produce. I'll probably wait until tonight to do the blanket while I sit in bed or "watching" a movie with DS#2. In the mean time I'm going to finish off the laundry, prep the veggies, and putter. (Between chatting sessions of coarse)

    Some general housecleaning
    Baked 3 dozen banana muffins
    Mailed a box of dvd's to secondspin.com
Did the weekly grocery shop at ShopRite
Helped dd set up her sales ledger for her craft sale (postponed until tomorrow...she got invited to the pool with friends today so that took precedence)
Helped Dd put away her laundry

We're having company tonight...so it's hot dogs and hamburgers along with 4-layer Mexican dip and veggies. They are good friends of ours with kids that are ds#1's age and a girl a little younger than ds#2. It's always fun and relaxing to be with them, so it should be a good night.
