Default Not so newbie with questions

Hi. This is such a wonderful forum and, even though I have been here a while, I realize that there is a lot I don't understand about the site. I have a lot of questions, but I can't find the frequently asked questions. Can someone point those out to me? Thanks.

Try looking in the announcements, site rules part. You'll probably find alot of answers there.

Thanks Julie. Yes, a lot of what you might need to know is covered in the forums that Julie mentioned. I'm slowly building a comprehensive FAQ. It's going to take me a while with my current schedule, but it's long overdue. Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have.

    Thanks, y'all.

I was wondering about the clubs. Does one have to be asked to join? Where is a list of clubs? What does it mean to be in a club? Does it mean access to other areas of the forum?

Where do you find smileys to upload?

You don't have to be asked or invited. At one time, the clubs were active and led by moderators. Since I'm pretty much alone in running things, I can't run all the clubs alone. Some members have offered to lead them. For example, Jamauk is helping to lead the quilting club.

I'm not sure where people are finding their smilies. Maybe they'll share that info with you. My guess is they google and search for them.

    There are social groups, too.

We just added those and I haven't fully explained them yet, but it's pretty straightforward. Members can create their own groups. The groups don't have the same features as the forum, but you can still post and reply.
