    Default Gotta love freebies

where i work many people leave there shopping (only little things, mainly clothes) uner tables and forget about them, well afteer a period of time if no-one has claimed them (we keep them behind the counter if found) then we can have them, so far i have got 2 pair of socks (all new these are) a box of hair die in the colour i wanted! a new top, a pair of joggers. there are also loads of umbrellas left but i dont have them.

and i can have all the Euros found (in change bags/money boxed) which will help with my holiay next year.

is anyone else able to get 'free' things from where they work?
if you dont like what you read then please hit the X in the corner, i really do not want a backlash for the above

I do! I work for a company that has storage units. I've gotten tons of stuff for free. My 4 poster cherry queen size bedroom set, a tv, a loft bed and lots of of other stuff. Just this weekend I got a little wooden chest with lots of dvd boxed sets and cd's in it. Oh and 2 flutes. Well, I guess if you consider my time in cleaning the units out, then it's not free. I take the stuff instead of the pay. I make out way better that way. The last bit of stuff was just abandoned, so no work there. Plus I get the use of a storage unit at no costs as long as I work here.

that would be a cool place to work, do people just leave things there and forget about them or what?

Wow that would be a great way to get things. I know here if people dont pay the rent on units the stuff goes up for sale at auction.

I do get free stuff at my job too. I work as a sales rep and merchandiser. So I get all the free skin care I can use(Neostrata, the line we sell) And socks and pantyhose, tights, etc. as I also merchandise for a hosiery company. Of course they want us to wear and use what we sell. Works for me!

That happened a lot when I used to work in the mall. Once I got a brand new Coach brand change purse! It had been there for over 6 months, no one claimed it, so I got to take it home! I also got some kids books which I gave to DS's old babysitter's little girl for her birthday. I never could understand how people could leave behind purchases and not come back for them!
