    Smile Hello-what a wonderful forum you have here

    I have been lurking here for a while and finally decided to join in.It is heartening to see so many folk taking control of their finances in the age of consumerism.
    I have been cheap[frugal]all my life first from necessity[we came to Canada in 1967 with $100 of borrowed money]
    now- because we choose to be,my DH and I both retired young-52 and 55,we have no debt and no wants...well, I always want more quilting fabric,but that's another story.

    How did you hear about frugal village?...from a sewing forum

    What interests you here?....I enjoy hearing how other folk stretch their dollars and I've found some great tips already and some great recipies

    What will you contribute?...I have lots of tips on how to...not spend da money

    Do you know any other members here?.. not yet

    How many kids? Ages?.. I have 2 grown sons

    Do you own any pets?...I have 2 furbabies Melle and Sammy

    Occupation? ...Retired RN

    Married or single?...married 42 years

    Interests and hobbies?.... Besides quilting,I like to sew-clothes,home dec,crafts.I knit and crochet,I garden,love to read and I have started scrapbooking.
