    Default Hurricane Dolly

Just wanted to tell those FV'ers who live along the south Texas coast (Manyhouseapes, TexasPeanut) to keep safe, board up and evacuate if you need to. Will be thinking about y'all and hoping the weather doesn't get too bad

Right on the coast here, but I think we'll be okay...if it was a cat3, then I'd high-tail it to Beeville. The winds have picked up a little & we've seen some of the outer bands - even though we were suppose to have 60 percent chance for rain, we didn't get any & I managed to get some last minute laundry done...we'll probably start feeling some of it tonight - I need to bring the bunnies in the garage.

    Stay safe.
I'm farther in other side of Houston and so far we are getting some wind.
    Feels cooler outside also.

Hope you guys don't get slammed too hard down there. If you have more rain than you need from it, send it to the panhandle

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I'm smack n the middle of the Tx coastline so I'm totally safe on this one since it's around the border. We are just getting some of the rain/storm bands and a little windy conditions off of it and we are in the lull between two bands right now. Time to run outside and check the garden and take the dog out lol. Hope everyone (many houseapes) farther down the coast is doing well, lots of rain falling down that way.

Thanks for the update on your situation, TexasPeanut. When you get through with the rain, you can send it on up to Central Texas because I know we need it there. I hope that manyhouseapes is safe from the storm.

Hi all TxPeanut, where are you located?
We are deffinitely feeling it here and are in between bands at the moment. Dh has put the grill & picnic table in the garage & laid the rabbit hutches on their sides. Had alot of rain & the backyard looks like a lake -kids are going to go nuts for the next few days b/c it's going to be too muddy to play on their playground.
Looks like its getting darker, the winds are picking up again & here comes the rain again...another band.
The weather channel says that the eye is 110 miles to the SE of us & that its hitting the islands - S.Padre island is completely without power. Stay safe everybody.
