I have been sick and....
its not due to my hysterectomy, not directly. I picked up a viral infection in the hospital. For 3 days I have had nausea, vomiting, diarreha, a slamming headache. I called the surgeons office and he told me to get ahold of my local doctor and get in to see her today. I did and she is in contact with him. My incisions look great and no pain from the surgery. I had 2 and 1/3 I.V.s today. I finished two before I went to the bathroom. I feel so much better, headaches gone, nauseas gone too.
It kind of disturbs me that you go to a hospital to have surgery and you get sick because someone didnt wash their hands well. We know I didnt get it from dh or the boys as none of them have had any symptoms at all. The doctor said this is a fairly common thing to have happen

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that ~ sure hope it is out of your system now! That is NOT what you needed when you were on the mend!

Ugh, I'll bet that hurt your tummy everytime you got sick....
. Glad your incision is ok and that you're feeling better. Now, you need more

Hospitals are ull of germs, and not just not from handwashing, but all kinds of things going on. My grandmother just had surgery for bowel cancer, and the surgeon wanted to get her out of the hospital and home with care ASAP for the very reason hospitals are so germy.
