starting a procrastinators club...
..never mind, I'll start this club tomorrow.
Seriously though, this has to be my biggest downfall. I'll fix something around the house that needs a bunch of tools to do so and after I'm done... put them away? Nope, I'll do it tomorrow.
Balance the checkbook and enter stuff into Quicken? nope, I'll catch up next month.
Sometimes I really get mad
at myself for this especially when I HAVE to get caught up.
Anybody else?Russ

Ugh since I got married to DH, I've turned into one huge procrastinator. It's terrible. I was always more than fifteen minutes early for appointments, had things done that day the same day, etc. Now I can't be bothered sometimes and it really gets to me. (DH will blame it on the computer but meh, that's not it) I don't have my license or I'd do most stuff myself, like fixing the bathtub faucet and grocery shopping.

I'm guilty too Russ!
I always say I'll do it later, but then later turns into later again, then it becomes, I'll get to it eventually...when I should just take the bit of time do it right then. UGH! I get so mad at myself!

I'll join...
... later. If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Ok, I didn't write a BOOK on procrastination, but I did write a research paper on it, in HS, and turned it in late. This has been a lifelong battle for me, and I'm not winning. Count me in.

I am a big procrastinator. I have been as long as I can remember. I think it really drives my husband crazy. I guess I just lack that thing called motivation...

Let me tell you about procrastination..... my husband lost his job last October. The stuff he brought home from work....is STILL in the same place it was then. Actually....maybe he is doing it to annoy me now... hmm! I am not a procrastinator....I just lack the time to get everything done!

Funny, I can put off housework forever, but never procrastinate when it comes to eating meals or reading or working a puzzle... Do we see a pattern here?
Before I left for work I told myself when I was packing my supper that it would take about two minutes to wash the bowl and plate from lunch. I was even already on my feet and standing by the sink. Did I? Nah. They're still in the sink. I definitely qualify to join this club.Donna

Hi. I don't deliberately put things off, it's just that they get interrupted by OTHER things.
But sometimes I just put on a CD and attack one desk or one heap, and get it done. As long as some things gets done each week, it's not a total loss. ;-)Scott Virtes
