merrick fell on the steps.
he was going down the steps backwards and lost his footing on the last step. hit his head and scraped his elbow. his head bled a little bit. i didnt find any small stones in the wound. he just cried for a couple of mins and is playing in here fine. he didnt seem out of it or dizzy. jase is going to call my mom to come over here and look at it. i just hope we dont have to go to the er.

I am sure he is ok, believe it or not their heads are pretty hard and can withstand alot. I dont think the ER is necessary as long as he didnt pass out. If he was up and playing within a few minutes, I am sure he will be just fine.

P.S. I have 2 boys... grown now but I've been through all this, they are tougher than we give them credit for

Oh how scary! Hopefully he is just fine. Those little heads can take quite a few bumps. My Mason had a concussion once, and we actually didn't even realize it until the next day! Just keep an eye on him, he should be fine.

I'm so sorry he had a fall! It's scary for the kids, but sometimes I think it's scarier for the parents. I dropped my oldest son twice when he was little. (tripped both times...not on purpose) I rushed him to the ER both times. He was fine; I was a basket case. Claiming your little one is okay.

thanks all. hes fine. was running around until his bedtime. my mom got some antibacterial ointment and more bandaids. so i put that goop on his head and a bandaid. lol, when we were at her place we tried to give him some baby motrin (only thing she had there) and he didnt want to take it. after we got home he took the stuff my mom bought after eating part of a burger and some fries. i waited until it kicked in before giving him a bath.

I'm glad to hear he's doing well. I remember my little brother falling down a flight of stairs when he was about 2. Tracy is right.... they have hard little heads at that age. As long as you keep an eye on him, he should be fine.
