Default When it Rains, It Pours...AKA...The Sky Is Falling

Well, maybe not the sky, but the roof is.

Imagine our surprise when we came downstairs to the kitchen this morning and it was raining in the kitchen. We had heavy storms last night and apparently, our roof sprung a leak and it's raining in the kitchen. We've got towels and bowls on the floor, but oooooohhh...am I angry. We've already called someone and have them coming today. We may need to use my fall tuition money, which means I have to drop out of my principalship program. You can't pick it up midstream, so if I want it, I'll have to go through the entire first year again. I'm going to speak to the bursar's office today to see if they can give me an extension, but I have approximately $4,000 due to them by the end of August. Not quite time to build it back up again.

So, excuse me while I scream and yell and punch pillows.

    Oh Amy!

I'm so sorry this happened! There's never a good time for a major house repair like this. There goes the savings.

Sending thoughts and prayers your way, that things will be repaired and you'll be able to recover your savings soon!

So sorry to hear this. I'm still dealing with water damage from this fall when our livingroom ceiling fell in! I hate insurance companies!!! I hope you can get things worked out.

I'm sorry Amy! I hope it gets fixed quick at a reasonable price and that the money/education gods shine favorably upon you.

Oh no! Amy, I hope that you are able to continue your studies. I know you really want this and it would stink if you have to complete the first year again. Hopefully, the roof will not cost as much as you expect and you will be able to go to school. If not, I hope they are able to work something out with you.

Oh Amy, I am so sorry. That really stinks. I hope that you can get everything worked out and that your education is not derailed for a year.
