    Default Internet provider

OK, I'm looking to change companys. After verizon double charging me for the 2nd time I've had enough. I pay $42.95 (including tax) per month for DSL. I need to stick with DSL/High Speed Internet since I work online at nights and can't afford for my computer to be slow (literally, it would cost me $ at my online job). What do you use? What do you pay? I'm looking for something dependable that's a few bucks less hopefully AND that does not require you to have home phone service.

Look for a wireless provider in your area. It's what I use at home and it is very fast.

Just did a quick search and found this http://www.onelasvegas.com/wireless/NJ.html

I use a cable based provider. If you have cable, the bundle deals are usually a bit cheaper.

I think that is exactly what I pay for Comcast cable internet every month when it is bundled with another service (which is lame because I don't need the other service, but without it, it costs as much as with the second service anyway).

I haven't really had any problem with them except they didn't bill me for internet the first month I lived in my apartment. I kept calling and they kept screwing up whatever code they needed to put in. It wasn't THAT big of a deal because I got that month free for their mistake. :p Beyond that, eh. I wish AT&T offered DSL where I live.

Click here. Type in your zip code.
It will list all the broadband provider in your area with reviews.

(also has option for price search)
