Slow Down Saturday 7/26
Normally when I post about my plans for the day I've got a list a mile long of productive things I'd like to get done. I've taken several days off and spent most of those gettting things done. Of corse it's always nice to see the results but it's all starting to catch up to me especially with DH basically non existent at home during the busy season. I came home Thursday night and sanded more spackle for about two hours on top of the normal nightly stuff of dinner, dishes, laundry, vaccuuming, AND then getting the spackle dust throughout the house up. I had yesterday off and planned on plowing through more projects but other than grocery shopping, and a final skim coat of spackle on two of the walls I didn't do much other than a few basics.
I had hoped I'd get up today with more energy but that isn't the case. I think I will just putter all weekend. DH is on call so is long as I keep up on the basics I'm ahead of the game. The problem for me with puttering is it usually strts another project.
Now that I've said all that I can also say for fun I'm planning on going to play at a texas holdem tournament at a friends house tonight. We go about once a month and after years of protesting (and having a mental block against poker) I can honestly say I really enjoy playing there. It's a laid back group and we turn the kids loose in the garage they converted into a wonderul game room. It's a $10 buy in. Last month DH took first and I took second. Once it got down to the two of us we just called it quits. (I wouldn't have wanted to hurt his ego and took all his chips
) Anyway that means for the next few months we get to play off our winnings. Wish me luck for tonight (maybe I'll come in the money again and put it toward the kitchen fund.)
Now that i've been so blabby what's going on with all of you today?

Didn't sleep well last night. Something is wrong with the van's electrical system....the damn alarm system likes to go off all by itself. It went off SIX times last night

This morning dh & I went to two yard sales. Scored a bunch of 80s toys, most of which will be kept but some will be resold for profit. Also scored a bunch of old models that will be resold. I also got some Spanish software and a real microscope for $1 each!
We also took the boys to the Lowe's Build & Grow workshop. Now we're home & the "boys" are playing with their new yard sale toys.
The only thing I'm doing today is dishes and knitting.

Well, with the prospect of having to move, we are slowly going through our apartment and culling out 14 years worth of stuff.
Beyond that and the basics, I will hopefully be able to talk DH into going for a walk tonight. However, his back has really bothered him enough lately that even the meds aren't helping. Time to go back to the doctor I think.

~I've already had a busy morning cleaning. The whole house is lookin' good! I made some subs for lunch and chatted on the phone with my sis for awhile. The rest of the day I plan to sort and declutter a big box of stuff in the dining room and scrape our outdoor clothes poles and repaint them. It's such a beautiful day I just wanna be outside enjoying it!~

DH got a head start and went over to his parents' house to get our laundry out of the dryer and bring it home. Then he took DS to the pool in our complex. Since I have alone time I cleaned the kitchen and now I guess I'll go put the laundry away. I don't know what else we'll be doing today. Probably just some packing. I don't want to go anywhere because we can't spend money.
