Woo hoo!
Life is weird.
Yesterday afternoon, I made a $100.00 mistake in my checking account and now only have $64 until the 6th. I was pretty mad at myself, but all the bills are paid and we have food. I made out a little menu plan that I have to stick with for the next 10-12 days or so. Basically all of that money has to go for gas.
At 8pm, an auction ended for far, far more than we thought we would get for it. The buyer seems legit with quite a bit of good feedback. We have dealt with this situation before and everything worked out great. He contacted us this morning for a shipping invoice. We can be paid in either dollars or euros with this buyer, either way, we need both currencies to meet our goals. If it is in dollars, our Sept vacation is paid for. If it is in euros, we need them for the trip this December. When everything goes well, it is a huge help either way.
At 10pm, I got my little e-mail from ChaCha saying that I passed the sim test and can get started as a guide! Yay! Now we need to find a moment for my husband to take the sim.
This morning, I got to work and they are going to start matching our 401k 100% to 5% of our salary!!! With the money I get from ChaCha, I can finally afford to contribute *something* and it is far more worth it now with the match.
Yay yay!Last edited by Sonnenwende; 07-28-2008 at 09:11 AM.

Thanks everyone. I probably would not have known about ChaCha if I hadn't come here. Also this place inspired me to get some budgeting software like Quicken and helps me stay financially focused when I am feeling fuzzy. Thanks again!
