Default Ugggh.....Earthborn Farms is getting skimpy now too!

I had to pick up some organic greens yesterday and I took notice right away that the 16 oz clamshells of Earthborn Farms organic Greens are no longer 16 ozs but a mere 11 ozs instead! 11 ozs and $6.99 at our local Family Fare! They did have a sale price of $3.99 advertised for the week though......but still! Now the regular price is going to be $6.99 for 11 ozs. I picked one up and I continued onto meijer's and found the 1lb container for $4.99 so I picked up one of those too. I had a little talk with the produce manager and he said that will be the end of their 1lb containers too. He said that he just received the latest price list increase of over 700 grocery/produce items too! Just a FYI!

I've gotten to the point where I hate going to the grocery store.

I would love to cut out all prepackaged food in our life, I would cut the grocery bill way down, but DH would not survive without them ) We have 2 grocery stores in the local town 8 miles away and I so notice the BIG difference in the prices of the 2. Sometimes when it is a Sunday I have to go to the expensive one for just a few things and I notice on items they can be up to a dollars difference. Why people shop there I don't know.

I'm beginning to feel the same way, and I have always LOVED to grocery shop. I walk thru the aisles just getting more and more depressed and frustrated.

Thanks for the heads up on the lettuce, I'll take a look when I'm at the store today.

I have noticed that most people seem very frustrated in the grocery stores that I frequent. I see so many people with discouraging looks on their faces and just shaking their heads in disbelief at the ever increasing prices. You would think that with the gas prices going down somewhat that perhaps our groceries would go down in price as well?

You are preaching to the choir now! The add for Kroger this very morning had buy 10 and get $5 off. SO WHAT! They jack up the price and want you to think they are doing you a favor for charging you the price it was LAST WEEK as a SALE price!!! (hint to Kroger) DON'T INSULT MY INTELLIGENCE!!!!!

I have noticed the trend of smaller packaging and higher prices.
