We've gotten cheap or free mulch, flowers, farm products, etc through Craigslist - I love it! That's great that you've found a way to use it to your advantage! Good luck, I'm glad your husband is going with you too.

Congratulations on the replies! I put an ad out on Craigslist too about a week ago and haven't heard a thing. Its so fustrating...I thought for sure I might hear something. I can't even get anyone to hire me for odd jobs!

What section did you post under? I put my under resumes.

That's smart having your DH go with you. I would be worried going alone.

I saw one today, they wanted someone to board their two cats while they were out of town for about 5 weeks, for $300. I was a day or two late or I would have replied. One of my cats just died and the other is getting up there, and I was thinking rather than make another 15-year commitment, maybe this would be the way to go, just borrow other people's for a few weeks at a time...

Thank you. I put mine up in the 'wanted' and under 'resumes'. Got my first response last night. Some guy asking for a picture and wanting to know what else I might do for cash! Definately not what he's implying! I'm not that desperate yet!

HAHAHAHA you should reply and send a picture back of a rather obese unattractive man that you found from the internet and wait 2 days to see if he replies. If nothing, reply once more and ask if he's revoked his offer LOL Mean I know but honestly, the sick people deserve to get sick responses.....they truly are asking for it!

I posted my shredder up on both craigslist/kijiji - lets see how this goes....last time my stuff sold, took me eons. But they're up there so thats 3/4 of the battle right? Regardless if its items or services that you offer, you just have to sit and wait for the seeker to show themselves. And I wouldn't go alone either....I usually make them meet me in the mall parking lot by the main entrance...there's bound to be a security cam somewhere and lots of pedestrian traffic - and thats with my gf's.
