Good morning from West Georgia
Hi I am very happy I found you all!Thank you for having me. my name is Susan I am 63 year old homemaker, married to Ed 66 who is a welder. We have been married 44 years will be 45 years in September. We had 4 children Robin, Jimmy, Eddy jr and Billy. Sadly we lost our Jimmy when he was just 17 in 1987 in a swimming accident. But he is with us always in our hearts.
We had our own farm for many years, but due to circumstances we lost it. We were living in Connecticut(where I was born and raised on my family's farm).Ed is originally from Georgia and in 1984 he moved us down here.
We raise chickens and have a large vegetable garden and a few fruit trees. I can everything we don't eat to use during the year. I sell eggs to pay for the cost of the feed and bedding for our chickens which I call my girls we have 10 hens at the moment. All old maids as we don't have roosters! lol I am very interested in recycling, recycling crafts, and reusing and using up what we have and we both try to be very careful and frugal.
I love sewing and like make vintage aprons, quilts, dolls, and stuffed animals.I have been making my husbands shirts and vests for many years now.I also collect vintage sewing patterns and cookbooks.I like watching sci fi channel and chiller, and love the movies on Lifetime networks.
I use to waitress and cashier part time but I am very asthmatic and while that has been under control for a long time, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis a few years ago which is slowing me down a bit. Especially when it comes to my hands in doing fine sewing work. Its affecting my feet too, but I keep on going.Myhusband Ed and I are both hardworking people he works 40 hours a week and then tends to our garden and hens.
I guess I have typed-talked enough; please excuse me if I talked too much, I do that sometimes. Hope everyone has a lovely and blessed day,
