    Default Wonderful people

I went to get a prong on my engagement ring fixed yesterday. I live in a rural community that is quickly growing. The nice couple that owns the jewelery store looked at it (the man had to go into the back room where his equipment was) less than 5 minutes later out he came fixed & shiny. I asked the lady how much it cost & she ignored me Finally I asked if they accepted debit cards and she said that they prefer credit but that they wouldn't accept payment as it was a quick & easy job! How nice were they!?!?!? THEN, today I went to staples, tried to use a coupon (it was expired) the cashier had to override it and the register accepted my $3 expired coupon as payment in full for my $9.87 purchase. The manager sent me on my way and told me to have a nice day. My response "Thanks, I will!"

And that story is the reason I try to patronize the Mom and Pop stores rather than the MEGA stores.

I prefer Mom & Pop stores for that reason too. Sounds like you're having a great day
