    Default Walgreen's Bummer:(

Doggonit....why is it that lately, when Walgreen's has great bargains on things that we need( simple, low cost items)...plus when they offer their once-a-month $5 off coupon...there isn't any money to be had?GGGRRR.

    Life's like that.

I got very annoyed at Walgreens Monday. I wanted one of the items on their buy $20, get 7 back ad. -- my brand of choice and I was almost out. Good stockpiling opportunity. I would have to get 4 to get to $20. Great. That's it for the next year at a very good price. Unfortunately, they only had three. I asked the manager if there were more and he said -- "no, we never keep more than three or four of those at a time. There might be one or two on the truck this week, but I won't know until it comes." Huh? With a big advertised sale?

Happy ending - I was going past another Walgreens on Tuesday, and they did have them, so I managed to get it, but that's pretty poor planning it seems to me.

Glad you had a happy ending. CVS is just as bad. Sometimes it is not the lack of planning but whatever the warehouse gives them. I think they advertise these loss leaders with no intention of stocking them, only to get you in the store. Needless to say, I do a lot of walking out empty handed! Rainchecks are nice but not when your coupons have expired before they restock!

My CVS and Walgreens are never well-stocked.:pullhair: I have found that I have to be at the store bright and early on Sunday when the sale starts or I will not get any of the items I planned on getting. If they do not have the item in the ad, I often walk out without it. :pullhair:

It really gets frustrating when you plan because of the sale, and then the WAGs is out of the product. A manager told me they get a truck on Tues and Wed so I try to wait until then to go in.

The Walgreen's near me has the same problem. I'll go in to buy something I see in the sale flyer and it's out of stock. I hate that. It's worse in the Summer too. I live in a resort town and you wouldn't think tourists would be looking for sales, but I guess they are. Things go out of stock faster during tourist season.
