    Default weird call.

i just got a call saying that i was supposedly entered in a contest b/c i had a credit card (we only have a debit card and told him twice but didnt give the number out). ive tried to do a reverse phone lookup but didnt get anywhere b/c our connection is slow. the guy asked me about my interests and when he asked me to tell him about one of my favourite movies i explained a little then hung up. i guess he got our # from a site that i signed up for surveys. the # that showed up on caller id was 1866-614-8870 i guess this is a warning to not answer if someone calls from that #. im also looking to see if there were any other complaints/warnings.

You can do a google search and see the complaints against these people, without reverse lookup. Here's a link, since you're having problems with your connection. You were def smart not to play along.

Try think link to find out who is calling. http://800notes.com/Default.aspx

Did you receive a call but the caller did not leave a message and the Caller ID says "Unavailable"? Type the phone number in the box below and click "Get Details" to find out who is using this phone number.
I use it when someone calls me and I do not know who it is. I believe Missy or someone from here posted it a while back and saved it to my favorites.

Weird call. I hate those kinds of things. It's a wonder I answer the phone at all these days.

Thanks for those links, ladies. I hadn't heard of either.
