After surgery
So, for those of you that read my post about my surgery to get 2 teeth excracted that got postponed. I went at 9am this morning. I was so anxious that I started to cry in the waiting room. I calmed myself but then we I went to the back, I started to cry again.. The girl who was setting everything up and must of been the drs assistant (she stayed through the whole procedure) was very good at trying to relax and reassure me that once the dr came to give me the medicine, I wouldn't feel or remember a thing.
She was right! He came, put the IV in, put some medicine through and the only thing I remember from then was him putting a rubber bite block in my mouth and gently putting my head back, someone took my glasses off....... Then there was the dr, saying "ok, come on" and he took my by the wrist and helped me out of the chair to the other side, handed me some papers and then I waited for someone to tell my husband I was ready.
I came home, took a percocet and went to bed. I've been sleeping off and on for most of the day. DH was sweet. He made some pudding for me.
I have no appetite (I'm not complaining about that! I could stand not to eat for a day or so) but DH insisted that I eat something. So I complied and ate some pudding.
Around 2pm I felt some discomfort and took one tylenol. I haven't taken anything since. I'm guessing that the discomfort will be worse tomorrow. I'm hoping not though.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know that as usual I worried about nothing.
I didn't feel or remember a thing. I will definitely do it the same way when I get the other 3 wisdom teeth out.
I'm still real groggy and just don't feel right, I'm guessing it's still the sedation they gave me that hasn't worn off 100%.
Other than that and sleeping most of the day away, I'm fine.

Glad it went well! The anesthesia usually affects your stomach, so that's probably why you have no appetite. Get lots and lots of rest and drink all the liquids you can. It hurt me to drink water, but I had to, because I get dehydrated easily. Wishing you a fast and easy recovery!

Glad your feeling fine.
Ds#2 had all 4 of his removed in July.
They say day 3 is when you start to feel it. He never did.
Just remember to follow the directions that they gave you and you will do just fine.

I'm glad it went well for you!
I recently had my (5) wisdom teeth extracted and the ONLY way I would do it was under general anesthesia! It's the only way man! lol I'd rather have another baby pain med free than do mouth pain.
My only advice is when you have your wisdom teeth done, make sure they give you anti nausea medication. That was my only issue.

Wow what a relief to have that over with, relax and rest. Let that DH take care of you for a bit, and enjoy it.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes! So far I have no pain!

I took a percocet just to go to sleep since I slept all day yesterday and I took some tylenol in the middle of the night but today there's no pain. I am swollen a bit though. Funny, no swelling yesterday but today I'm like a chipmunk on one side! LOL
Back to work tomorrow.
I still have no appetite. I lost 3#'s so far! That is good news! LOL
Today still no appetite. I'm not gonna fight it. I will eat supper though, hungry or not just for the energy.Me 34 DH 37 DS 6
