    Default Borders books - sneaky

Got an email from Borders with a coupon for 25% off my purchase.
Cool, there is a book I want and plus they have free shipping......

... until you apply the coupon code. So your 25% off turns into about 10% off.

    Very sneaky.

I am confused...why does it turn into only 10%?

That's why I always bring those coupons at the store. It's only a couple miles from my house and worth the printer ink to bring it in rather than pay shipping & wait for it to get here.

    I love Borders

    That stinks!

Rcannon, have you ever checked out Paperbackswap.com for books you want? I often find good used copies of newer books I want there.

This is a book called "I maintain the right".The 307th Airborne Engineer Battalion in WW II.- my fathers unit

This is probably not something found at that website.

However, I will forward that info to my MIL and SIL. They read a lot of paperbacks.

Well, I also have my issues with Borders! I got one of those emails around Christmas to save a certain % (maybe 30, can't remember) on the 20 best sellers. I went in the store 1 day after I got the email coupon & the offer had changed. Only the top 10 received that % percent off. The book I needed for a present was not in the top 10. Not to nice of them... false advertising really. I complained at the store & by email & got no where. Barnes & Nobles has the same discount without printing a coupon in my case (best sellers). Always seems to be a catch with Borders offers, so I shop Barnes & Nobles most of time.

    Coupons $50.08
April Groceries $253/250 Pet Supplies $109/125
    Coupons $34

    Coupon Saving 2012 $165.61
    2011 $376.25

They don't have it posted right now, but you can add it to a wishlist if you start an account. HTH.
