I still use IE occasionally because some sites don't seem to work well with FF, but I use FF 95% of the time.
You can emulate IE for those sites that are acting silly.
How? Download the plugin user agent found here

Opera is another alternative. Very good browser.
You can download it here: http://www.opera.com

Safari is another nice browser from Apple.
You can download it from http://www.apple.com

I attached a screen shot of Opera and Safari. Take a peek.
They are both very good browsers along with Firefox 3.0.

Or maybe it's time to switch to a mac. I love my mac. I use Safari and Firefox. I no longer have problems with programs freezing, etc....

I love FF and esp the latest version. If you haven't got the latest you really should update as it's great! I rarely use IE any more, however I don't have problems with IE 7 really...at least any more...I did the first time I installed it. In fact I got so frustrated with it, I deleted it. But later on I installed it again and it works fine. Not sure what happened. But I still like FF better and I have it all set up the way I like it. Now if I do use IE I can't find anything easily.

    Or install Linux! ubuntu!
Its free! You can download a live CD and test it out without changing anything on your computer.

Here are some video demo of the OS.
This is with an old computer with only 512RAM and an old video card.
