    Default what's up today?

I have done some canning (made the Kool Aid jelly posted here at fv), cleaning, and etc. I have company coming for dinner so i have to get ready for that. I updated my blog (to find it go to Frugal Village Forums > Leisure > Community sites). And i took some video of the chickens today. I have some more vacuuming to do. I also wrote out a post card and got that in the mail. I am feeling very under the weather, and am trying to take it easy.

Most of the day I have just been catching up on work from home. I messed with the budget some and spent a little time with the boys playing. The boys had a friend over last night and they've played all day. I did some basics like laundry and dinner. Dh took all three boys a little while ago to our discount theater to see Kunf Fu Panda. I am now going back and forth with work and playing catch up here a little bit. Usually a read a lot of the threads here and the last couple of weeks I've only been hopping in and out so I feel like even though I've been here I've missed alot.

I've finished unpacking some more boxes. I've done tons of laundry, and DD and I enjoyed our nice new yard and porch. My plans for the rest of the night are to make supper, catch up on some reading, and give DD a bath. The weather is wonderful outside. I'm hoping DD will want to go back outside and I'll just finish my reading out there.

Not too much going on here... It's another cool and rainy day. Ugh...I would love some sunshine!!

Got the laundry going, cleaned the bathroom counter area and mirror, did the dishes, made the bed.

I need to do some studying today. MIL is going to stop by (she's cool).

Guess that's about it here... We're having leftovers for lunch and supper so not much work in that department...

DH let me sleep in until 10 after being so sick yesterday. I got up, made coffee, checked the FV boards and then I waited for my mother to call me back. I got the phone call, was done in about fifteen minutes and into the shower I went. After I got out of the shower, I set up the pool and got into it with the kids. We were out there for about an hour or so, then I came in and started dinner. I was going to go to the store today and do DS' birthday shopping but bleh, after being out in the sun and stuff for an hour I just wanted to sit inside.

Oh, and I also made up my menu for the next two weeks and am in the process of making a shopping list.

    Well, it's 8:30 p.m. here and here's what's been accomplished today:

    • Slept in since DS16 is gone for the weekend. Niiiiiice. Up at 8:00 a.m.
    • Made 2 trips to the dump to haul ALL the trash out. We got a little behind on it when we didn't have the money to take it there during a rough patch (it's about $6 a load)
    • Stopped at the natural foods store to check out their prices on certain items - not bad! Will have to swing by there a little more often.
    • Bleached out my outdoor trash cans and scrubbed them out, let them dry in the sun. No more smelly cans!
    • Sprayed off the deck with the hose
    • Vacuumed the mud room & entryway
    • 2 loads of laundry washed & dried
    • Made a big batch of Mock-a-roni & Cheese (tofu & cheese dish) for dinner tonight
    • Cleaned off kitchen counters & wiped them down
    • Did 2 loads of dishes (one load created by cooking done today)
    • Walked dog twice, checked on vacationing neighbor's garden and house for her
And for the rest of the night....
    • put away dry laundry
    • vacuum living room & straighten
    • work on Ebay listings, taking pics for listings, etc.
    • off to bed by 12:00 so I can get up for church in the morning!
Keeping busy helps me keep my mind off DD20's issues right now. So I just keep going!

Gripey and I have had a busy day. We started out slow, sleeping in a bit, having a leisurely breakfast and surfing the boards, drinking coffee. After that we eventually kicked it into gear.

    Since then Gripey has;
Mowed, cleaned up the yards, trimmed bushes, pulled the wild ones out of the gardens, trimmed rose bushes, pulled weeds, checked on the carwash about 3 times.....

I have; swished and swiped the bathrooms, picked and put up all around the house, made the bed, cleaned up the pond, swept the floors, vac'd the rugs and my bedroom, cleaned the kitchen sink good, Gripey helped me to clean the kitchen window.

After that we worked out and had a tuna salad for dinner, then a shower. Whew! I'm pooped!

I spent the day with my Mom who has been here from CA for two weeks visiting my sister, my brother and I. Made us a nice lunch and we just enjoyed our last afternoon together. I drove her to the airport and now I am just really sad thinking that I probably won't see her again until next summer . . .

Not the most productive Saturday, but I'm happy with what I did accomplish:

    Went to Post Office
    CVS trip (great deals)
    Did some weeding
    Organized some coupons
    Planned grocery trip tomorrow
    Listed some items on Ebay
    Updated my blog
Ordered some coupons for upcoming sales
    Cooked dinner (BBQ Chicken calzones)
Priced some items for upcoming yard sale

Now I'm being lazy playing on the computer watching some Olympics.
