    Default Update!

Since my frustrated vent, things have gone uphill a little bit. I haven't had to buy any groceries, which is nice. My $40 grew to $70, from the recycling, and from selling the PS2 games. I listed the TV on craigslist as well, but no bites. At this point I will take the first offer I get!

I sent out a mass text to our friends about moving, and so far we have DH's older brother and DH's best friend who will definitely be helping. (More people means more cars means less trips!!!!) Then DH's BF's wife is taking DS and her kids to the park to get him out of our hair. Then I'll be at home unpacking while the guys are loading and unloading. I'm hoping that one of my friends doesn't have to work also, so I can have a helper too!

While unpacking, I'm also going to make some pizzas for the helpers, to show our appreciation. I have everything to make the dough, and I will just make sure that it goes in the first load so I can set up the bread maker right away. I will have to buy some pepperoni and cheese. And I will also get some soft drinks, and maybe make lemonade. And I have some peanut butter and eggs that need to be used, so I will also make peanut butter cookies!

I'm feeling better about the move, for sure. I know that money is going to be tight, but we can do it. I'm kicking it into frugal high-gear, especially because I'm going to be in Florida with DS for two weeks in September. The tickets are all we had to buy. I'll be staying with my mom and eating at her place. If I get any money for my birthday tomorrow, I'll just save that towards spending money for the trip, plus my allowance. I've also been replying to ads on craigslist for babysitting jobs, so hopefully something will come through!

Thanks for the kind words and support, everyone!

Do you have any sausage on hand? You could use that instead of buying pepperoni.

Unfortunately no. The only meat I have in the freezer right now is bacon and hot dogs. I've been using up the stockpile to avoid spending. I do have some cooked chicken and I will make bbq chicken pizza for the more adventurous eaters.

I am glad things are working out better than you thought they would. I bet all those workers are going to be grateful for pizzas and drinks. That is a nice thank-you gesture.

    Good luck on the move.

well the more you eat the less you have to move - if it were me I'd be happy to chow down on the hotdogs! I wouldn't be buying any more groceries until I absolutely had to or I had moved.
