Default First day on the new job

Left the house this morning at 7.15 to be at my desk at 8. At first I wanted to travel by public transport, but it turned out that going by car was just as expensive as commuting by bus. I can park at a parking place and take a little shuttle to the hospital where I work.

My job is one of typing medical reports, letters etc. at the Thorax department. As this was my first job since 27 years in the medical world again I only did the correction on letters already been typed.

We sit in a small room with 5 girls/women and work pretty hard, with twice a 15 minute coffee/tea break and 30 minutes lunch break.

So far I liked it, the colleagues look nice enough and I like typing and the medical world so that should be okay.

Luckily I had already cooked a chili last Thursday and dh was so kind as to heat it up for dinner.

Tomorrow I'll be giving the typing a go, can't wait if I can remember anything

Only thing is I am completely battered!! So I'll finally will be having a good and sound night of sleep.

Do you know what is real cool stuff,......apparently you can scrub in on a surgery and have a look how bypasses etc. are being done. I'll definitely do that
*even the worriest day ends at midnight*

Sounds like a good day all in all.

As for public transport.. don't forget to count the wear and tear on the car... oil changes, tire wear..etc.

Sounds like the first day went well. That is great!

I think it would be interesting to watch a surgery being performed. WOW! I can't believe they let you do that.
