It pays to be friendly!!!
So tonight we went to Island's restaurant for my birthday. They always send a generous birthday coupon. Free entree and free slice of Kona Pie, which is enough dessert to share. So we just needed to get an entree for DH and we're all set. Plus, I got money for my birthday, so I used that to pay.
So we got our meals, and ate and were working on dessert. The manager came by and asked us how everything was, and how we liked that the burgers now came with fries. (You used to have to buy them separate.) We chatted for a pretty long while, saying how much we liked the restaurant and we always come for birthdays and occasionally when we can, and then he went away.
A few minutes later he came back with two free lunch coupons. One for me and one for DH. The coupon is for a free lunch entree AND beverage. I was so shocked, and very pleased. It's service like that, that makes me enjoy going out to eat when we can afford it!

That's a smart businessman. You'll enjoy that lunch & tell everyone you know how much you love it there. Win-win! :happydance:
