I foster at my local county animal shelter, and I also work at the baby bird nursery for my local wild animal rescue. I foster for a lot of various private rescues, primarily bird and dog (although I did have an iguana sharing my living space for a short time).

The bird nursery has been such fun, I will probably go to some of the other animal rehabilitator classes next year. I would love to foster baby raccoons, possums, deer, etc. I told the staff at the rescue that I doubt my chickens would be thrilled with baby bobcats or coyotes, though!

Good for you! Isn't it great to give back? I used to volunteer at a local animal shelter. I was fostering 4 kittens too (2 which I adopted). I'd really like to get back into it, but have been very busy with work and the new house so I can't commit to anything yet. Hopefully that will change though.
