Some GOOD excitement in my life Weeeee *G*
Joe had gotten his VNS .. i believe i had said that before ... well over the past few weeks they upped it every 2 weeks .. well the second setting his sezures went to 3 in 2 weeks which is awsome concidering he was having 3+ a day!!.. this last time they set it one higher and believe it may take them out almost completely.. so far no siezures for a few days WOOHOO .. Since getting the VNS he has only had 2 days were he felt "wonky" and used his magnet and it was GONE. And only 2 days where he has had more then 1 siezure a day.
For now he is supper excited because he can hold his daughter without being in constant fear of dropping her because of an impending siezure. He has been holding her quite often. And cried the first time she fell to sleep in his arms.
Even better his Neurologist said its go time for his surgeries which might get him out of pain and will get him out of the wheelchair. we have appointments set up with both doctors. He is going the 20th to get a date between the 25th and 29th to get orthoscopic on his knee. AND the 22nd he is going to the Neurosurgen to set up a date for his back surgery to fix the disk that has slipped. Yeah this month. Then its off to Physical Therupy for him.
Sooooooo its looking like the final stretch and i will have my Joe back ( i know i sound self centered in that .. but i don't care i really need my old partner back ) He is wanting to get back to work which i don't care if he gets off SSI and goes back to work. I would be soooo happy with my Joe back.Last edited by qtkitty; 08-14-2008 at 03:33 AM.
