Update on DD and CNA training
Just wanted to give an update: We met today with DD's DARS counselor and, after attending a vocational training program next week, she will be eligible to have her entire CNA training paid for by DARS. Not only that but they will also pay her a maintenance allowance during her training for gas and lunches AND continue paying her the allowance for two weeks after training while she's looking for a job. Yay!

Thanks again for everyone's suggestions and support. She's very excited about this new opportunity.

Great News! I was a CNA for 2 1/2 years before going back to school to be a nurse. If she finds she wants to do more its easy from that point on. Believe me, there's just as big a shortage of CNA's as there is nurses.

Staying home doing nothing is a lot more fun if you don't have to do it.
