Does Airborne owe you money?

If you have purchased Airborne you are due a refund for up to 6 boxes. No proof of purchase. They have several different kinds of Airborne products and you could be entitled to $10.50 per purchase x's 6. I have only purchased those drop in tabs which are $6.99 so my check will be for $41.94. But it's $41.94 I didn't have before. Click on this link and it will explain how to file your claim.

I heard about it on my local news. I'm unsure when the checks will be sent out. The only thing they said was you must post your claim by X date to be on the list. There has already been a settlement awarded it was just about getting on the list.

Boxes of Airborne used to cite a study by "GNG Pharmaceutical Services Inc" that said it tested 120 people and 47% showed little or no cold flu symptoms, versus 23% of a placebo. However, an ABC news investigation revealed that GNG was a two-man operation started up just to make the Airborne study, and had no clinic, scientists or doctors.

Unfortunately things like this happen all the time, but with larger pharmaceutical companies and larger research companies it's not as obvious. In this case the lack of credentials and reputation made it obvious that the study was bogus, but you don't always have those red flags when it comes to the research.

But on another note, I always thought this stuff was bullshit.

Right. I only posted to let those who filed know to be on the lookout for the check. Airborne didn't do the mailing, so I didn't even realize that I was receiving a check until I opened it. It looked like junk mail.

We have received rebate checks for other products that are deliberately made to look like junk mail...it's so people will throw them away and not cash them. Saves the company money.

Isn't it awful? I had the same thing from a contact lens rebate not too long ago. That one was even worse...it wasn't even in an envelope! Was just a postcard stub w/the check attached. I'm certain many of those were just tossed or lost in the mail. That one was for about $50 too.
