First Few Days At School...
were terrific! Its been 30 years since I was in school but I think I'm really going to enjoy the challenge. There are two classes a day, with two different groups of people and I'm finding that since I'm the 'work study' student I sit in on the first class and part of the second to help with paperwork or whatever the teacher wants. It amazed me after both classes that first day when she asked me if I could spot the potential 'trouble makers'. And though everyone was pretty good that first day, there seems to be a couple that will be a handful.
The rest of the time has been spent in the kitchen getting it cleaned up and organized from the summer events they had. Part of my responsibility is directing the three other adults that are in the morning class with me. Not easy when I'm not use to telling other's what to do. One of the students is a lady who's 8 years older than me and the other two are young girls who just graduated this past May from High School. Fran, the older lady, is no problem.... the other two... I think I'm just going to have to take them as if they were my kids when it comes to telling them what needs to do, minus the motherly nagging! Wish me luck on that! *lol*
We will be spending the first 6 weeks in the classroom. We're already going to have our first test Wednesday! Its basically going to be on the history of cooking and how far its come. Its really interesting and has me thinking about things we take for granted in our kitchens. I love it!

Oh, I'm glad it's fun for you! That's a relief, isn't it?
I haven't been to school in 30 years either, and it SOOO intimidating if it didn't turn out to be fun.______

I'm really enjoying it but boy the homework! I forgot how much work it really was! *lol* I got home around 3:30p yesterday, sat for about an hour, then fixed supper and then spent close to two hours doing homework. (A lot of essay questions) She warned us up front there would be alot and she wasn't lying! *lol*
