    Default economic news-rant

    Ah yes another report about the economy. This time they report that wholesale inflation surged in July at its fastest pace in 27 years.

    Well duh.

    How is this news? We were hearing all about and paying higher prices in June and July. It was all over the news and the stock market took a hit every time a piece of financial news came out about energy prices and such.

    To anybody who pays for gas and groceries knows damn well prices took a huge jump so this is not "news" IMO.

    So now we get the "official" announcement and what happens to the stock market? grrrrrrrr

    I really hate the media sometimes.

    I imagine the stock market would react to the standard financial reports like the one you mention whether the media covered it or not. But yes, the media often does not help.
