    Default Ew! Ack! Omgzzz!

sitting here internetting, and what do I hear right next to my head in the wall but a scritch scritch scritch behind where there is a pipe.

Ohhhhh please please don't let us have mice! Or RATS! I'm totally freaking out, lol. We live backed to woods and the LL told us it wasn't odd to get mice in the house. One of my cats has been interested in the access panel for weeks. Ohhhhh no!!! I'm so creepy crawly right now! I hope the next couple hours goes by fast so DH can get home.

I hate it when a mouse gets in the house ~ it would drive me insane if they got in the walls. I totally sympathize with you!

We live in the city and have had one mouse in our garage and I very pridefully boasted that we have NEVER seen hide nor hair (or droppings) in our home at all. Well, last night dh came home from working late and what did he see scurrying across the kitchen floor?!?!? Ummmm yeah at least he told me gently and got the traps that once the mouse is caught you don't have to see it! But oh my goodness the idea that there was a mouse in here and who knows how long *shudder* I soooo feel your pain! Good luck!

We had squirrels get into our old apartment. I was afraid they were rats and had someone come in to put poison down. I was so sad when they died under the sink and I found out they were just cutie squirrels I swear that death smell lingered for a month.

I hope it's something that doesn't totally gross me out, lol.

Just set a trap with some food on it, it will get out of the wall and get trapped for sure.

Set that trap!! We have an older home and I could hear mice running in our walls last year. We finally caught ONE...and havent seen one since! Sounded like dozens when it would move though! As for the squirrels....very cute but extremely distructive so you dont want them in your place either! Good luck!

HAve your husband set the traps with peanutbutter, because the mice have to hang out on the trap to enjoy the food it will be easier to catch them.

hope you are able to catch the mouse quick. We are right up in the woods, with lots of pasture land nearby, so mice used to come in our house every once in awhile. MIL suggested I put moth balls down in the crawlspace in the spring and fall (when they are looking for nests and winter hidey-holes) and that it would deter them. We haven't seen one since (and we've been doing this for about 5 years) Apparantly the mice don't like the smell (snakes avoid it too). I do occassionally catch a whiff of moth balls when they are first put down, but to me, that is better than a mouse running over my foot in the middle of the night!!

I was always told to put peanut butter in the traps but have yet to catch one with it. Here in the boonies, they like bologna. Guess that's a country mouse for ya. We've lived here almost three years and have had more trouble with them in them the last few months. We have two cats. One who could care less and one who is forever stalking. I can always tell when one gets in cause Ellie stands guard. She'll play with it and when she's done I find it in my diningroom behind my chair where I sew.

I don't know what is worse though. The mice or the big black snake we saw in one of the registers!
