Long Weekend ~ Doing Anything Special?
I thought I would live vicariously through y'all since we aren't doing anything in particular.
On Sunday friends of ours are having a barbecue and I'm not sure I feel like going but we'll see.
What are you up to?Nancy

On Sunday, DH is taking the kids, SIL, and our niece and nephew to the lake to go tubing. I opted out though, I'd rather clean the house while there is no one to bug me

Not much of anything. Yds is working at DQ most of the weekend. Ods is off at college and dh is in Texas for 9 more months. Boring. I might hit a couple yard sales just to see what I can see

DH took off early today. DD is spending the night with her BFF. She has to volunteer at the museum tomorrow for 5 hours.
DH, DS and I went to my aunt's house today and cut her grass.
DH, DS and DD have 6 more yards to cut between Saturday and Sunday.
Going to hit a few yard sales Saturday morning.
Need to clean, paint and repair a bamboo chair we picked up second hand for DD's room.
My uncle is in the hospital with bad ulcers on his legs and his kidneys are going kaput. Tuesday he will have surgery so the doctors can implant the thing in his arm for his dialysis. I plan to stop by and visit him some time over the weekend.
Monday we are going to my aunt's house for a cook out. Hoping the hurricane stays far enough away so we don't get rained out.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!!!DD (19)

I expect that I'll gather more stuff for our upcoming yardsale. And tomorrow I will take my Aunt to the store and the bank. She is a recent widow and she does not drive. She lives on a fixed income and has been having a very hard time. I hope I can cheer her up some.
Also my son needs to go to the bank to deposit his paycheck and run some errands.
and then on Sunday after church I'm going to pick up my friends son and keep him for the afternoon(so her husband and her can have an afternoon by themselves) and then take both him and my youngest son to youth group and then my husband and I will attend the adult group at our church.
That's about it except I hope to get caught up on wash and hopefully with my youngest's help, scrub down his walls, shelves, toys, ect. in preparation for winter and closing the house up. Right now we can throw those windows open and get fresh air but fairly soon we will be putting plastic on the windows and getting blankets hung up over them. I want ever thing to be real clean and germ free before we start closing up for the Winter.
I think it will be a pretty good weekend. Youngest son starts school on Tuesday so having a playmate on Sunday should boost his spirits considerably.

Today I need to clean house. Since I started school I've gotten DH to help with cooking and he has even done laundry but that's where is stops. He's mentioned that he's kinda wanting to invite his brother's over for a barbeque but I don't know if I'm up to it. I'm usually waiting on them and picking up after them the entire day. I hate that. No wonder their not married!
I would really love to have my family over once before something happens and we lose the place but their all so busy with their own families. I'm guessing it will probably just be us. Just as well, I have a test I need to study for on Tuesday.
Hope everyone else has a good weekend.
Debbie

Nothing too special..catch up on laundry and picking up the house and some errands.
Maybe go to inlaws for cookout on Monday.
I cannot believe that it is Labor Day weekend already...perhaps if I don't acknowledge this then it won't be true and we can have summer a while longer.

It's Saturday and raining here, I am going to help my dad clean his house (inside) today. He's putting it up for sale in September. Then Sunday we are going to my Mom's house for a barbeque/picnic. On Monday I hope we spend the whole day outside on our bikes and hiking through a state park.
