    Default Fruit juice candles???

I was just wondering if it was possible to make candles by using the actual juice from a fruit??? My co-workers and I were wondering about this after we opened up some fresh strawberries today. I was just thinking that if someone made a candle using the actual fruit juices how wonderful it would smell!!

The only thing we couldn't figure out was how you would make the candle. If you could make it using the pectin used for jelly making, and then add beeswax or something like that!!!

Anyone have any ideas or know how to make it???

Let me know, I was just trying to figure out a way to do this!!!

You might be able to do it in the form of a gel candle....maybe google that and see what comes up!!

The fruit will most likely rot when it gets exposed to air.

So experiment first with the making and burning of the candle before you give them as gifts.

~Juice? I don't think so. But you can embed dried fruit into candles.~

I wouldn't think it would work...you can only put a few drops of oil in the wax before it makes it all wonkey causing the wax to not harden correctly. I would think for the scent to come thru you would have to use alot of juice. JMO

The jello or kool-aid powder might be fun to try!!

I was just wondering if anyone had ever heard of them or seen them, I guess not!!

I think I might try the powders though, that could be fun!! If they turn out then I might give them as gifts!!!

    Thanks for all the suggestions!!
