    Default Momma Brag-Kids Took the Grand Prize!!

    I am a very proud momma
    Little background- my kids are into the yearly Anime convention that is held here - RealmsCon.
    All this year, my oldest 3 dds decided to make their own costumes for this year's convention. They bought a few articles of clothing at the thrift stores & modified them & stitched everything by hand.
    They went as a group of characters from the video game Kingdom Hearts. dd#1 went as Riku, dd#2 went as Sora & dd#3 went as Kairi.
    At the end of the cosplay contest, the judges announced the winners & my daughters took the Grand Prize!! They were given a huge backpack full of alot of anime stuff & t-shirts.When the convention is over, RealmsCon will be putting their picture on the front page of their website.
    The fact that as they were making their costumes, they were going about it the least expensive way possible & they taught theirselves how to sew by hand, amazed me how much as parents we influence our children

    WTG! That is so cool. I know DS had Kingdom, but not sure if he still does or not. I loved that Jack from Nightmare B4 Xmas was in it.

    Woo!Hoo! Good for them! My DD also loves anime and attended the convention here in S.A. a few weeks ago. She bought her costume online, but said there were plenty of terrific homemade costumes. She's thinking about making her own for the next convention. I'll have to show her your post. Do you have pics?
