FV life changing?
I think it could be. I have been reading posts for three days. It definitely has had a dramatic affect on my way of thinking. Already I have made the decision to start a stockpile and to start using coupons/freebies. In the past I have read articles about how people were reducing there grocery bills dramatically by using coupons and I never 'got it'. I even gave it a try a couple years back and I just couldn't understand how it was done. After reading and reading and reading through this forum the light bulb finally came on. So I went out and bought a Sunday paper, I looked at the coupons and realized there were some pretty great ones this week, so I went in and bought one more. Now I have all my coupons cut and organized. I have also cut the extra that I didn't want for future swaps and coupon trains.
I have also been reading about setting and achieving goals. I have NEVER actually set goals for myself before. I never thought there was a point for it, however, in reading threads on goals again I see the light bulb turn on. I realized that if you want something you are far more likely to get it if you set goals.
Simple living has also opened my eyes as to how much time I waste. I am just in awe over all the great information FV members have and are willing to share. Hats off to y'all!!!!Last edited by Day~Dreamer; 09-08-2008 at 08:29 AM. Reason: To run spell check

Yeah it kind of gets under your skin huh? And a little warning it is contagious. My dh just called me from work all excited to tell me that someone had left the Sunday paper in the break room and he was going to bring home the inserts because of the great Electrasol coupon! (This is a guy who didn't know what a coupon was 6 months ago) Welcome!

Welcome..welcome from others in the SAME boat! I don't feel so ALONE in my financial dinghy with others on FV working to get their butts in gear too! In the last 2 months we have had unexpected(aren't they all?) car repairs that have kept me from funding my emergency fund. So today I have an appointment for a job interview. I need a part-time job for benefits soon and extra money in emergency fund will make me feel a WHOLE lot better. Having friends here helps me feel better.
