What's your favorite song?
AmyBoz's request for music help got me flipping through videos on YouTube and I got to thinking about how much music can say about a person. So...what is your favorite song of all time.
Here is mine: true soulmates, without a doubt. This song has been a source of inspiration to me since the first day I heard it (I think my freshman year in college)

I have different favorites for different reasons.
Daddy's Hands by Holly Dunn is my favorite song that makes me think of Daddy. I keep a copy of the lyrics folded up in my desk drawer. I use to keep them in my wallet, but somehow they have ended up in my desk.
Love Will Keep Us Together by Captain and Tennille was my very first favorite song when I was little and I still love it.
I often just bust out singing If You Want My Body by Rod Stewart (and doing the cabbage patch dance to)for absolutely no reason. My kids and their friends swear this is my favorite song.
Of the more recent releases I can't get enough of More Than A Memory by Garth Brooks and Stay by Sugarland. Oh yea - I LOVE Follow Me by Uncle Kracker.DD (19)

There are two in particular that are inspirational to me. There is religious refrence in the first one but that's not what I connect to. I think of it more as a help comes to those that help themselves.
Both of them remind me of who I am when I am not being "someone's responsible mother".
The first one reminds me that any chains can be broken if you want them to be.
The second....well it's about not being afraid to take a leap either.

I've listened to the first one and get riled up since middle school. Mary Chapin Carpenter was introduced to me more as a very young adult.
Life is what we make it ladies and gents. We can choose to be bound by fears and responsibilities, choose to regret, or we can see that life is a world of possibilities and choices and our freedom to take the plunge, grab hold and make it ours.Last edited by TheRootedNomad; 09-09-2008 at 08:48 AM.

It changes around alot, I am currently listening to (and loving) the new Def Leppard album, Songs From The Sparkle Lounge and the tracks Go, C'mon, C'mon, Nine Lives and Love are my favorites on that.
There are two songs that have personal meaning that I just love are Return To Serenity by Testament and Love Is On The Way by Saigon Kick.
