Default Dishwasher and a Baseball Hat???

Dh wants me to wash his hat and from previous experience I am not going to put it in the wash machine!! But I was wondering if it would be okay to put in the dishwasher???

How do you clean baseball hats???

No idea on dishwasher. But I throw my sons in the washing machine, but not the dryer. He puts on his head while it dries a little, then hangs it up to keep shape. good luck!

I do all of DS's in the washer. I have a plastic hat holder made for the purpose of washing hats. It cost like $3 at the Dollar General store. The hat fits in it, snap it together and in the washer it goes. Then straight to the dryer. The holder keeps the shape perfectly. I trust his cheap $10 ball caps as well as his nicer $35 fitted ones with this method. So far we have not ruined or damaged any of them.

I would think that a dishwasher would work though.

I use the washing machine, cold water, no dryer.....

If it is a really good expensive hat I would take it to the dry cleaners.

My dad used to wash his in the top rack of the dishwasher. I would make sure the detergent doesn't have bleach in it though.

How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown

I would think it would be fine in a washing machine on gentle or hand wash cycles. Maybe light wash on the top rack of the d/w too.

As far as drying goes, I would only put it in the dryer if it's all cloth and/or you put it on "fluff" or "air only".

Having said all that, I don't usually wash Dave's. He doesn't wear them often, and when they need cleaning, we just spot clean them (i.e. by hand)
