    Default My brother's home burned.

What the fire didn't get the smoke and water destroyed but thankfully no one was hurt. His wife was in the shower when she came out it was all smoked up. She was able to get out and get in her truck and go to her mom's just down the road from theirs and call the fire department. It was a new trailer less than 2 years old. They said it was caused by faulty wiring. Thankfully they had insurance and its going to replace the trailer and contents. Its going to be at least a month though before they see a dime. They can stay with her mom until then. My brother has 2 teenage stepsons. I have a son and daughter and the boys and my brother can wear my son's clothes and his wife my daughters so I was able to fix them up with a bunch of things to help out. Hopefully my sil's family can help her to replace pictures of her kids. Those are the things you miss the most. We lost everything we had in a fire when I was 10. It was a very scary time.

    Oh my goodness.
Thank goodness no one was hurt.
But your right, its the picture loss that you never quite recover from.

Sorry to hear about the fire but the main thing is nobody got hurt and they have insurance. I am glad to hear that you will be able to help them with clothes.

29 years ago we had an arsonist burn our home. It did not burn to the ground and we had insurance, but it was a pretty scary thing just the same.
