    Default While Cleaning up

Those that are cleaning up after Hurricane Ike be careful.

    Snakes are out.

Ds #2 was raking barefoot and came across a Coral Snake.

It was going away from Ds and Ds went running away from it.

This is the 3rd time we have seen coral snakes since moving out here.

yeah, while cleaning up i got two fire ant bites and some poison oak on my foot.
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I am glad that your DH saw it before it found y'all and gave a nasty bite. The snakes are moving here too, it is getting cool and the rattlesnakes are on the move looking for their dens. We have had several snakebites just from our little town and quite a few of them have ended up in the hospital. It is amazing how much damage a snake can do to a limb when they bite. I hate snakes.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news lol but there are far worse things lurking out there than snakes. Being on the Tx coast we do have gators. Gators, mad as heck hungry dogs, wild hogs, fire ants galore and sharp objects that can cause damage to little bare feet. Be careful out there and I'm glad your son wasn't harmed.

Wear shoes to be a little safer. I live in the city but the moutains are right behind me. We have coyotes that come from the mountains and roam the streets like stray dogs sometimes. I would have freaked out if I saw a snake that close to me. I can barely handle spiders.

I am not much of a snake fan myself. Although, I think I would have a heart attack if I came face to face with a gator.
